I really believe the TNA product has really turned a corner since its move the POP (though I'm no fan of Matt Hardy at all). A ratings drop is to be expected when moving to a relatively unknown network, to what do you attest the declining ratings since the move?

I just think there are people that have invested in TNA in the past and are hesitant to do it again.  I think they gave it a chance when it came to POP but have since stopped watching.  I think they are missing out as the shows have been really good and I think Matt Hardy has been great.

So I was excited to see Shane come back, and had there been a Pete Gas appearance I might've had a stroke....but it got me wondering, surely there has to be some kind of additional shenanigans to come in terms of the Mania match with Taker, right? If Cena isn't cleared to go in a full on match, might this be where he's inserted as Shane's backup stationed outside the ring to make sure there's no interference etc.?

I don't see any way that they can just make this a straight up "match of equals".  If it ends up it's those two in the Cell, they will have to employ a lot of bells and whistles as Shane is a 46 year old non-wrestler and The Undertaker is, well, The Undertaker.

As someone who follows both the WWE and UFC religiously, I can tell you that from what I gather from people in the know in UFC, the CM Punk/UFC experiment is on very shaky ground.  There is a real possibility that the UFC may very well cut ties with Punk before he even has his first fight.  If this were to happen, do you think there is any chance he would return to WWE, and what would have to happen in order for him to do so?  Or do you see him going back to the independents, TNA/Ring of Honor, or staying away from the wrestling business entirely?

First off, I don't see Dana White cutting ties with Punk before his first fight.  What is in it for him to do so?  If Punk scores a 20 second knock out or has the worst loss in UFC history, it will sell buys and White knows that.  After the first fight, who knows.  But if Punk is cleared and wants to fight, I don't see UFC giving that payday up.  From a business standpoint, why wouldn't UFC let him fight at least once? Beyond that, it would all depend on circumstances.  If the lawsuit against Dr. Amman is bleeding him dry, he may have to go back to WWE.  It's too soon to say.

Something tells me that the reason that Cody Rhodes has been stuck with the Stardust character for the last couple of years is because Vince McMahon despised his father Dusty Rhodes for running NWA as well as not being keen on Southerners. Thoughts?

I think that is one of the more ridiculous things I have heard in a while.  Vince loved Dusty.  I don't know why Vince doesn't see more in Stardust but it's not for the reasons you mentioned.

So will Vinny Mac being getting a 60-day unpaid suspension and fine for “unprofessional conduct” due to his f-bomb on Monday? Perhaps fired for going “off script” like Brad Maddox? I mean, surely there were “target demographic” children in attendance who didn’t have the luxury of a bleep.

The guy who writes the script can't go "off script".  Vince said what he did to sell the angle.  He said it very softly.  I saw the video.  Relax.
