Northeast Wrestling held one of their biggest shows of the year, their annual Wrestlefest in Waterbury, CT last night. Results from the show, which drew in the 2,000-2,3000 range:
*Randy Shaw (with Brooke Tessmacher) pinned Manscout Jake Manning in what was said to have been a good, solid opener.
*Donovan Dijak pinned Mikey Webb in an entertaining big man vs. little man bout that was said to have been one of the most entertaining things on the show.
*NEW Tag Team champions Ron Zombie and Bull Dredd & Big Jim defeated The Battle Brothers & Lukas Sharpe.
*AJ Styles pinned Hanson in a very good bout with the Styles Clash.
*They held a Piper's Pit with Roddy Piper bringing out Brian Anthony to set up......
*Brian Anthony pinned Jerry Lawler after hitting him with an axehandle. There was a lot of brawling on the floor early on.
*Caleb Konley pinned Bandido Jr. in what was said to have been a good back and forth bout.
*Alberto el Patron & Matt Hardy defeated The Young Bucks. It was supposed to be Hardy against Patron, but they ran an angle where the Bucks attacked Patron and Hardy made the save. I was told the bout was changed in part, due to Patron having an ankle injury. Hardy did the lion's share of the work here and well, it was The Young Bucks show, so if you like what they do, you probably would have liked this match.
