As those of you who listened to my audio earlier today know, I was in attendance in Philadelphia at the PPV. When Bryan was eliminated, he feigned being upset by his elimination, then promptly returned to the back.
There was a very good reason for that, being that the next competitor was about to come out and everyone in the Rumble was told to get out of the aisle as quickly as possible so they would not be caught on camera during the entrances. WWE wanted the focus to be on the incoming, new competitors.
So, somehow, Bryan doing what every other competitor was told to do by WWE has been blown into a "story" when the reality was, he was just walking to the back and trying toget out of the camera angles. His job for the evening, unfortunately for the fans, was over. The match was still ongoing, so he needed to leave so the focus would go back on who was coming out next and what was going on in the ring - nothing more.
I've seen a lot of stories that border on ridiculous presented as fact, but hearing about this one tonight via email from readers worried there was something that had gone awry with Bryan takes the cake.
