TOMMY DREAMER LAUNCHING 'HOUSE OF HARDCORE' THIS FALL, FIRST EVENT THIS OCTOBER IN NEW YORK

After making several hints, former ECW champion Tommy Dreamer announced this evening via a promotional video that he would be launching the "House of Hardcore" promotion on Saturday 10/6 in Poughkeepsie, New York at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center.

Dreamer has long talked privately of running shows but wanted the time and circumstances to be right. The name of the promotion is the same as the former Extreme Championship Wrestling training school, which could be a hint that Dreamer intends to do a school as well.

While it may not seem like a major announcement on the surface to some, what is extremely (pun intended) interesting is that Dreamer is one of the most personally well liked wrestlers today within the industry with ties to WWE, TNA, ECW, etc. and a host of friends from all branches of the business he can network with. It should be interesting to see what he has planned for a promotion.

The Civic Center, which regularly ran ECW events, was a famous WWF TV Taping venue. Northeast Wrestling, WWE and TNA have all run there regularly in recent years.
