McIntyre commented that the incident was a "complete misunderstanding. I can’t say anything else until it’s cleared up, which will be very soon."
As PWInsider.com broke last week, the couple got into an incident coming back from a party at the Playboy Mansion. Terrel was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor assault. She was released later that day on $20,000 bail and is scheduled for a hearing on 9/2 at the Los Angeles Municipal Court, Division 141.
WWE sent Terrell home after the incident and removed her from the Smackdown opening. There are some within the company who believe she may end up released since she was in Los Angeles during the promotional period for Summerslam and the company has very little forgiving for performers getting into trouble during major promotional events.
