TWO WEST VIRGINIA MEN ARRESTED AFTER TWO YEAR OLD GIRL IS INJURED TAKING CHOKESLAM AND OTHER WRESTLING MOVES

By Mike Johnson on 2010-06-15 10:56:27
The Charleston Daily Mall in West Virginia reported today a two-year old girl was hospitalized with a myriad of injuries after two adults performed wrestling maneuvers on her, including a chokeslam.  The girl suffered a spiral fracture to her right leg and had several bruises on her face, torso and buttocks, according to the article.

The girl's mother initially told doctors that her daughter had fallen off of her bed, but later admitted that two friends, Andrew Lee Young, 24, and James Andrew Miller, 22, who had been staying at her home, had performed the wrestling moves on the girl.  The men were playing a WWE game when detectives came to interview them and said they did the moves after watching a video of the Undertaker.

The men showed the detectives the move and claimed to have done it softly on the girl, but according to the article, they would have had to have used a substantial amount of force to cause the type of injuries the girl is being treated for.

Both Miller and Young were charged with child neglect and are being held on $100,000 bail each.

The child will be taken into protective custody and not released to her mother when she is cleared medically to leave the hospital.  The mother had already been convicted of child neglect in the case of her three-year old daughter, who is now in the care of her father.  Detectives are determining whether the mother will be charged in this case as well.
