Low Ki (aka WWE developmental talent Kaval) issued his condolences on www.low-ki.com in regard to the passing of Pro Wrestling NOAH's Mitsuharu Misawa, writing, "He was the first person I saw after my first championship match in NOAH and he said something that meant so much to me, "good job". It was an honor to be apart of his company. I just can't believe hes gone. I don't know what else to say. This is terrible. I feel terrible." Ki worked for NOAH for several years before signing his WWE deal.
Chris Hero, who has been doing a storyline in ROH where Misawa had given him an elbowpad to adopt Misawa's elbow into his own arsenal, posted a blog on his Myspace from Japan, where he is currently on tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH. Hero wrote that it was a "freak accident" and that "No one is at fault"
Hero also recounted the moments after Misawa collapsed following a back suplex:
"The moments at ringside felt an eternity. Never, in my life, have I wanted the fighting spirit to jump into someone's being more than I wanted tonight. The fans chanted Misawa, Misawa, Misawa. They wanted their Hero to get up so fucking bad. Just get up. Come on! You're too tough for this. Too strong. I grabbed his boots and held onto them til they took him away."
