Backlash was the first time since the establishment of a major title on all three brands that the top title for each brand has changed hands in one night (not including the ridiculous "interim champions" from the Championship Scramble matches at Unforgiven 2008).
Christian became the first wrestler to go TNA, win their top title, then come back to WWE and win a brand's top title tonight.
Edge's victory gives him a total of 9 top Championships under WWE's umbrella, second only to Triple H (who has 13). This is Edge's 5th time winning the World Heavyweight Championship, tying him with Triple H for most times holding that particular belt.

Andrew Sandford sent the following....I just got home from the show and it was a really good show live. I was laughing during the "Goodbye" chants in the arena. During the Hardys' I Quit match, I noticed it was mentioned on the site but there was a huge brawl in the crowd that everyone was cheering. These two guys were fighting it out and it looks like they were really hitting each other hard. One guy (I'm assuming security) tried to dive in at them but completely missed and landed a couple rows down from them. The 6 man was really slow and the crowd wasn't into it until Orton got the win. The crowd was into the main event all the way. There were dueling chants but it seems that the crowd was 70% for Cena. I liked this show a lot, I have been trying to figure out if I liked this Cena-Edge match or the one I saw live during Summerslam 2006. I'll have to wait to see this on DVD.
