Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson did an interview with Moviefone where he talked about "The Wrestler" saying "I thought that the movie...was real and memorable. That world...it's a very visceral, authentic world that [director Darren Aronofsky] created and I can't say enough great things about the movie. My uncle actually trained Mickey and he would call me weekly and give me progress reports. [He] was amazed at...his desire to do everything. That takes commitment."
Peter Siddorn reporting. ... I picked up the latest issue of Gamesmaster and as well as a review of the Legends of Wrestling game (They give it 80%), they had a brief interview with MVP. In it he said one of the finishers he used on the indies was inspired by a video game. The spinning kick that he called Malicious Intent he got from Eddy Gordo in the Tekken Series.
