TNA NEWS AND NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2008-12-18 11:22:19

Several readers sent word that former TNA Tag Team champ Adam "Pacman" Jones is already back for the Dallas Cowboys, so his herniated disc ended up not being a major factor.

There are rumors floating around regarding Elijah Burke and TNA.  I know he and Terry Taylor had a long discussion when they were both appearing at the same pop culture convention in New Jersey a few weeks back but I don't think Burke would be able to sign anything until his 90 day no compete is up.  So, as of now, it's just conjecture.  I haven't heard of any plans involving Burke at this time, but you never know.

Depending on how serious Kaz's injury is, there's been talk of putting someone else under the Suicide hood until he is ready to return, so TNA can at least keep the character viable after that long introductory build.

TNA's next live event will be 1/9 in Wilson, NC, promoted in conjunction with NASCAR personality Hermie Sadler with Booker T, Rhino, Beer Money, Inc., Jacqueline, Abyss, Sheik Abdul Bashir, Motor City Machine Guns, Jay Lethal, Cute Kip, TNA Women’s Knockout Champion Awesome Kong, Eric Young, Taylor Wilde, Sonjay Dutt and Traci Brooks scheduled to appear.

Scott D'Amore, who cameos on tonight's Impact, is not back with TNA.  He was at the taping accompanying Japanese star Kiyoshi, who recently debuted, and since he was there, TNA tossed him on camera for a segment.  He remains on good terms with the company.

Where Are They Now: The subject of the most question regarding his whereabouts is former TNA star Monty Brown, who worked for WWE's ECW as Marcus Cor Von.  He's back in the Detroit area running a personal fitness company and helping raise the family of a relative who passed away.  He's shown little interest in doing wrestling, even locally, as his focus is on his family.  Brown left WWE after a mutual agreement following a period of time when the company allowed him off the road to focus on his family.  When Brown realized he wasn't going to be able to return, he asked for and received a release.
