YET ANOTHER ROUND OF CHANGES TO WWE'S RETURN TO MSG, CHYNA UPDATE, INDIAN MEDIA GETS WORKED AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2008-07-25 23:07:42

I know this will shock everyone, but once again the main event of the 8/23 WWE Raw house show at Madison Square Garden has changed, this time to WWE World champion CM Punk defending against JBL inside a steel cage.  Shawn Michaels has also been pulled from the advertisements for the event.  His match with Chris Jericho is now listed as Jericho hosting a live edition of The Highlight Reel with a "special guest."  The remainder of the updated card now features John Cena vs. Batista, WWE Intercontinental champ Kofi Kingston vs. Lance Cade, WWE Womens champ Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix with Santino Marella as the special referee, WWE Tag Team champs Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase vs. Cryme Time, plus Kane, Paul London, Matt Striker, and Paul Burchill scheduled.

Steven Fernandes reporting....I saw the following and don't know who is dumber; the people who made this movie, or the media source who were probably fooled by the movie people. Apparently, The star of the Indian version of 'Fear Factor' made a movie with eight wrestlers who they claimed were 'WWE wrestlers from Australia'. If you look at the photo in the link, none of them look like anyone employed by WWE.

Ian sent the following....Chyna will be appearing at Comic-Con 2008 signing autographs and meeting with fans on Sunday July 27,2008 between 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the San Diego, CA Convention Center.  Chyna also recently appeared at the ESPY Awards... The "Celebrity Rehab" star is reportedly doing well with sobriety. Chyna will be traveling over seas to Japan with Antonio Inoki in late August for a reported two week September wrestling tour with the Inoki Genome Organization.

Matt sent the following....It was reported last night that due to crazy response to new Twilight TV show that Disney Witch mountain Panel at Comic Con was 95% empty....G4 is doing a Comic con three hour show tonight, replaying from 7-10 on the West Coast and will be airing an interview with Stacy Keibler, who was referred to in preview as a WWE Diva.
