MANIA UPDATES, DIMWITS FAILING WELLNESS TESTS, MOOLAH, SMACKDOWN RATING

By Dave Scherer on 2007-11-03 14:15:32

A lot of people have asked me how Harry Smith could have possibly turned up with a Wellness Violation, given what happened with his father's life and death.  I don't have a bad, let alone good, answer for that one.  It's incomprehensible to me that the guy could see and live through what happened to his father and then turn up positive on a test.  All I can hope is that he learns from this and that it's one bad moment in an otherwise great career.

As for Chris Masters well, we are already hearing that he is telling people that there are reasons for his failing this test that aren't his fault and that it was something leftover in his system from the past.  Guess what Chris, this is your SECOND failure buddy.  After failing the first time, there's just no excuse for doing so again.  He has to be an idiot to let this happen, especially given that he is a less than talented in-ring worker.  Guys who fail once would be well served to take a test on their own dime before returning to WWE.   Now, he's one failure away from being gone.  He better get that message loud and clear.

I was really sad to hear about the passing of The Fabulous Moolah.  She is a true legend of the business and she will be missed.  It's a shame that younger fans don't realize how great she really was in her time.

Last night's edition of Smackdown did a 2.8 fast national rating, which is up from recent weeks.  The final number will be out early next week.

Harvey in Orlando sent this a few hours ago. ... I just spoke to a friend of mine that works at one of the Ticketmaster locations and he said tickets are still available for WrestleMania.

I just checked and there are plenty of seats in the 90 dollar range still available.  They have a lot of seats to sell, plus no John Cena, so it doesn't shock me.
