So, time for Randy Orton challenging Jinder Mahal for the WWE championship.  They are obviously going long as after this, there's only two matches.   I predicted a spot where the legends take out the Singhs, so we will see if this happens.  Bob isn't wearing his cast, so we won't be seeing that spot but it's great to see him healthy after so many years with that debilitating injury.

Randy teased a RKO out of nowhere early and used the Garvin stomp.   It was all Randy early on.  Mahal was sent over the top to the floor, where Randy clipped him with a running clothesline.  Orton worked over Mahal but was sent to the floor with the idea being that he tweaked his knee when he hit the floor.  Mahal followed him and went right after the leg.  Mahal worked him over.  Orton tried to limp away but was caught and his knee was beaten in the corner.   Mahal drilled him with a series of knees  Orton went to the floor but Mahal followed.  Orton caught him with a right and nailed a back suplex onto the barricade, dropping Mahal in front of the legends.  Mahal went to the floor at their feet.  Will this be the spot instead?  No.  Darn it!

Mahal returned into the ringside area.  Randy brought him over to the announcer's table, intending to do damage but instead was the one slammed atop of it.    Mahal drilled him knee into the table several times, then dumped the challenger back into the ring.  Now it was Mahal's turn to stomp away.  The crowd began chanting for Orton, trying to inspire his comeback.  Very good match thus far.

Randy made a comeback but Mahal went to the floor.  Orton fired but was picked up and drilled knee-first atop of the barricade.   Back in the ring, Orton went for the RKO out of nowhere but it was countered and Orton was shoved into the ropes, where the champ scored with a kick to the head for a two count.  Mahal went right back after the knee, trying to force a submission.   Mahal locked in a figure four, with the idea that he was using Ric Flair's finisher in front of him.  Orton was able to reverse but no big pop as the audience doesn't really know the importance of that spot.  The crowd was chanting for Orton but he was cut off and the champ continued stomping away.

Jinder continued the onslaught but was stunned and sent to the mat while attempting a superplex.  Orton set up for his dad's finisher, which JBL pointed out and nailed it for a two count.    They went into the back and forth strikes and punching as fans cheered and booed.  Orton nailed a clothesline and a powerslam.  He set up for the hanging DDT off the ropes and nailed it.  The crowd popped for that, recognizing it could be the beginning of the end for Jinder.

Randy scored with the RKO but the Singh Brothers put Jinder's foot on the ropes.  Is this the spot with the Legends?   Orton argued with the referee after the two count.  The referee tossed the Singhs out from ringside.   The Singhs took umbrage with the legends applauding this decision.  They started to leave but instead began conferring.

The Singhs returned to the Legends yelling at them that they think it's funny.  They grabbed Bob Orton.  Ric Flair stood up to help him (the other Legends just sat there; nice guys) but before anything could happen, Randy attacked the Singhs and beat the crap out of them, tossing them into and over the barricades.   They even repeated the insane spot where Orton flipped them inside out with back suplexes on the announcing table.  Jeez!  Randy then nailed a RKO off one table through the other on one of the Singhs.

Orton returned to the ring but Jinder attacked his knee and nailed his finisher, scoring the pin.

Your winner and still WWE champion, Jinder Mahal!

Very good, exciting match.

Breezango came down to the ring.  It was The Ascension who trashed their office.  Man, what a rough spot to be in, following the last match.

Ascension vs. Breezango kicked off with Tyler and Konor starting out.  Viktor got involved and wiped out Breeze.  Ascension worked him over.  Fandango was able to get the tag and scored the pin with a small package.  Just filler.
