During the post-UFC 203 press conference last night, former WWE champion CM Punk (sporting stitches over his right eye) spoke of his extreme disappointment over his loss and what his future could be within the MMA world.
Punk stated during the conference that his initial plans were to enter MMA at the lowest level but the UFC opportunity was offered and he couldn't say no. He admitted that he could be cut from UFC based on his loss and he didn't want that to happen and wanted to continue fighting. He didn't know what the next step would be yet but said he would fight again.
Punk also stated that he was tearing himself up over the loss but admitted he's extremely hard on himself and that even if he had won, he would have been disappointed in himself. He said he was beating himself up far more than he was beat up in the Octagon.
Punk noted, "I'm supremely disappointed. I wanted to win. I wanted to perform. It didn't happen."
