ESPN DOES ANOTHER BIG WRESTLING STORY, MORE ON THE SANDMAN, LILIAN GARCIA, UFC BEATS WWE AGAIN AND MORE

There is a person on MySpace pretending to represent The Sandman in hopes of getting up front money for booking the former ECW and WWE wrestler for indy shows.  Don't send the person any money because he is not associated with the former ECW Champion.  I have also heard stories of a former indy promoter who is saying he will get Sandman booked and is charging less than the actual rate so beware of him as well.  Sandman is being exclusively represented for indy bookings by Tod Gordon.  If you are interested in booking him, you can do so at this link: www.myspace.com/pwuczar.

ESPN.com has a huge front page story on Dr. Phil Astin, Chris Benoit's doctor.  The piece looks at the connection that Astin had to the deaths of both Benoit and Mike "Johnny Grunge" Durham.  It's a long and detailed story which WWE will no doubt not be happy about.  To read it, click here.

In case you missed it, Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine has been purchased from Kappa Publishing by boxer Oscar De La Hoya's company as part of a package where The Ring, a boxing magazine, was the centerpiece.
